Create Eye-Catching Scrapbook Clusters

Reading Time: 2 minutes

If your scrapbook pages ever feel a little flat or unbalanced, the problem might not be your supplies—it’s your layout strategy.

Today I’m sharing one of my favorite ways to instantly elevate a page: creating eye-catching clusters using a visual triangle.

In this layout, I used Sketch #21 along with the Beach Boardwalk Designer Series Paper and the Capturing Smiles bundle to bring everything together. This bundle had already sold out and has been restocked. Now I know why! If you’ve had your eye on this bundle or want to re-create this layout with me. Be sure to grab this must have bundle before it sells out again…

Why Clusters Matter

Instead of spreading elements randomly across your page, clustering helps:
✔ Guide the eye naturally
✔ Create balance
✔ Add intentional design

And when you place those clusters in a triangle formation?

That’s when your page really starts to pop.

📸 Bringing Your Embellishments to Life

One of my favorite details in this layout is the camera die.

Instead of leaving it flat, I added small details and layering to give it more personality and dimension—making it feel like a focal point instead of just an embellishment.
