If you’re like me, there’s something so satisfying about a finished scrapbook album. But what really pulls it all together? The cover page—that very first layout that tells the story of what’s to come.
This week’s Friday Freebie sketch is a single-page layout using just two photos—perfect for capturing the heart of your theme. Whether you’re documenting a Disney trip, a big birthday, or even a seasonal album, a strong cover page sets the tone for every layout that follows.
For this layout, I used the On the Go Suite Collection—with its bright colors, playful icons, and summer-ready vibes, it was the perfect match for the cover of my very first incentive trip with Stampin’ Up! to Disney World. I’ll show took the left over scraps of On the Go Designer Series Paper & coordinating cardstock colors to create a simple but striking design, and add custom touches that make your page pop.
Supplies used:
Crumb Cake Cardstock (11)
What you’ll learn in this Friday Freebie:
- How just two photos become the “hero” photos for a cover page
- Design tricks for layouts with just use minimal embellishments
- Why titles and embellishments matter more on the first page
