Hidden Journaling & Flip Flaps Made Easy | Turn a Card Kit into a Scrapbook Layout | Sketch #17
This week’s Friday Freebie might be one of my favorite transformations yet. I took the Everyday Beauty Card Kit from Stampin’ Up!—one of each card design and the envelopes—and turned them into a 12×12 scrapbook layout filled with color, texture, and interactive elements. What started as a simple card kit quickly became the perfect way to document a fun day spent crafting with friends in Lewes, Delaware.
The patterns and florals in this kit matched my photos beautifully, and as soon as I laid everything out, I knew this kit was meant for a full scrapbook page. That’s how Sketch #17 was born.
A Layout with Hidden Journaling + Extra Photos
This week’s layout includes space for 7 photos, plus Flip Flaps that allow you to tuck in two additional pictures without overwhelming the design. I also added a hidden journaling pocket, which is one of my favorite ways to include personal stories, thoughts, or details that don’t need to be visible on the page.
